The Poetry of Water is an art exhibition by Maxi Cohen, featuring a collection of water art including paintings, multimedia works, and XR experiences from all around the world. We’re proud to work with dArt to help create two masterpieces: Looking Glass and Gradus ad Parnassus.

Looking Glass  

Looking glass is a meditative XR experience using realtime EEG signals. The mastermind behind the concept is Jason J. Snell: a creative based in New York who specializes in using biological data to create emerging music composition and visualizations.

Gradus ad Parnassus  

Gradus ad Parnassus is an XR animation by Monster Mike. It features JEFF, an original character by Monster Mike, discovering a large tree from the table and helps it grow until the gallery turns into a chaotic underwater garden.

Roles  

  • Created a framework to implement different pieces of tech:
    • EEG Devices (Muse headset)
    • Quest 3 headset
    • Realtime mesh generation
  • Optimized the experience to run at minimum 72 FPS
    • Optimized realitme metaball mesh generation in Looking Glass
    • Optimized rendering lots of high-vertex, hand-drawn meshes for Gradus ad Parnassus
